My Top Five (5) Korean Medical Drama Series
Every one of us is
watching a television. Am I Right? I know some of you watch Korean drama series
before or until now either a romance or historical based drama like Jewel in
the Palace, My Girlfriend is Gumiho, My Name is Sam Soon, Dae Mul (Big Thing)
and many more.
How about watching a
Medical Drama? I guess some of you watched those English series like House MD,
Nurse Jackie, Hawthorne, Greys Anatomy and the like, but how about K Medical
Drama? If you liked those English series, you will also like these K series.
Korean Drama - KD's for short refers to televised dramas, in a miniseries or
more often telenovela format, produced in South Korea.
Many of these dramas have become popular throughout Asia, with growing interest
in other parts of the world. K-dramas have contributed to the general
phenomenon of the Korean wave, known as Hallyu (Hangul), and
also "DramaFever"
in some countries. ~ Wikipedia.
I am a fan of Korean drama
series, just before the pilot episode of K Drama to be play on television. When I found it interesting, I make sure that I will watch it ahead of time
from the local television networks that run a different Korean drama series
translated to our language.
Translated to our local
language is cool but for me, it is best to watch it on their original language,
of course with a sub title. For you to understand the thought and the
conversation of the characters.
Why I love watching it to their original language? Simply because, the acting of the actors and actresses is natural plus the intonation is purely express unlike in translated one. The translation is not translated perfectly but you will understand it anyway.

I watched different kind
of K drama series from historical to romance and now recently on medical drama. I
found it more interesting because I can relate it to my profession as a nurse.
I been updating my knowledge from it since the setting of the drama is in the
hospital; catering different cases on Accident and Emergency Room, Operating
Theater, ICUs and in the wards. Their hospital is also updated when it comes to
different technologies regarding on treatment and management of their
patients.
This is a good hobby;
you will enjoy watching while acquiring new knowledge. I am sure you will try to Google the meaning of each unknown medical terminologies you've been encountering through watching K drama series.
Here are my Top Five Korean Medical Drama Series:

mannerisms. Dr. Seo Joo Young (Jung Ryu Won) is a charismatic and ambitious

easy-going facades hide an iron cold resolve. Dr. Choi An Jin (Oh Yeon Seo) is

# 2 Good Doctor
This is another one of a
kind medical drama series, a doctor who has autism who wishes to practice his
profession despite of the unkind situations pulling him down.
The lives of pediatricians who battle daily to help children and their families’ happiness.
Few people are aware of
the fact that the pediatric ward exists separately. Regardless, the hardworking
individuals there steadfastly deliver on their promise to give their very best.
They face arduous challenges daily ranging from surgery on tiny preterm infants
as tiny as a pen and on fetuses. These doctors perform amazing feats day in and
day out.
“Good Doctor” deals with
the struggles and triumphs of pediatricians who are devoted to the cause of
saving young lives. Also highlighted in the drama are social issues like
medical insurance systems that are flawed and the hospital systems that are
geared towards profiteering rather than saving lives, which ultimately affects
the working environment of pediatricians.
The show will also throw
some important questions along the way as the story unfolds such as “What
should grownups do for the betterment of our children.” The children in the
pediatric ward are our children, nephews and more. “Good Doctor” seeks to help
make the world a brighter place for the children.
The main character of
this drama is Dr. Park Shi-On (Joo Won) a miner's son who witnessed domestic
violence from his father beginning at a very young age. Because
of his developmental disorder that's a type
of autism,
he gets a specialized education at a care center, where they discover that he's
a savant.
Shi-On has genius tendencies,
an exceptional memory, and has a keen perception of space within the human
body. With the help of a guardian, he eventually becomes a pediatric
surgery resident, but his personality remains that
