[HOW TO] Renew your IVT Card

[How to] Renew your ANSAP Card
Being a nurse requires you a lot of things to comply before accepting in the job post you’re applying or even volunteer post in an institutions. So one of these include is the IVT Card issued by the Association of Nursing Service Administrators of the Philippines(ANSAP), the only nursing organization offering training and seminars on Intravenous Therapy.

It’s been three (3) years when I got my IVT card and now, it’s about time to renew it. Here are some of my experiences when I renewing my card. I prefer renewing my IVT Card personally at ANSAP Office, this may time consuming for those people who are working but this will not take you a month to wait for your card. ANSAP office releases your card immediately upon submission of all requirements needed.

So is your IVT Card is about to expire sooner or later? And don’t know how to renew? Let’s try to find out how!

Recently, I received messages from my friends and colleagues on facebook and via text asking on how to renew their IVT Cards.  So, I decided to do this post on my blog. I hope this would help you!

Before anything else, the most important requirements is the 3-day refresher course or 3-day seminar updates.

Attend Three (3) Seminar Updates on IVT

Actual ANSAP Certificate

  • You can go directly to ANSAP Office located at No. 1 Diamond St. cor. A. Rodriguez Carmel V Subdivision, Tandang Sora, Quezon City (in front of Tandang Sora High School) to check the availability of scheduled seminars and updates.; Or,

  • Visit their website ANSAP Inc., click the Calendar and you may see the scheduled seminar and updates around the Philippines.
    • Then proceed to the 3-day refresher course on IV Therapy.
    • Choose your preferred dates. It depends on your preference if you want to attend just one seminar per month, 3 days straight etc. as long as you have a total of 3 seminars (24 units) of IVT Update when you apply for renewal; or
  • Look for institution/centers offering the 3-day updates on IVT.

Payment for IVT Update seminar per day is 700 pesos inclusive of hand-outs and meals. Right after you completed the 3-day seminar updates required by ANSAP Inc. You may now ready to renew your IVT Card.

Tip:
If you needing the actual card in a hurry, do not renew your card in the institution/centers you took the updates. It may take you a month or two to get the card. Instead go directly to ANSAP Office and present all the requirements needed, you will wait for about 15-20 minutes to claim your card. (I am saying this to those people residing near to ANSAP). For those in far places and provinces, it is better if your institution/centers will renew your cards.

Other Requirements

New ANSAP IVT Card
  1. Original IVT Card
  2. Original and photocopy of Certificates of Attendance of IVT Therapy Updates, equivalent to 24 hours continuous education units. (Preferably with Name)
  3. Current Two (2) 2×2 pictures with light green background. (You may also avail this at the ANSAP Office)
  4. Original and photocopy of PRC License
  5. Payment of P400.00 for IVT Card renewal.

Do not worry; they will not get all original copy with you (including your old IVT Card and Certificates). The Original Certificate of attendance will put stamp on it making sure that the certificates is already been use. The Original IVT card and PRC Card is use for verification purposes only. Wait for about 15-20 minutes, then Booom! You’re card is already released!

Direction going to ANSAP Office
  • If you are coming from South, take train from Taft Avenue or Magallanes Station the drop to North Avenue Station.
    • If you’re coming from North, drop at LRT Roosevelt Avenue, cross the bridge and go to the side of JACKMAN PLAZA. Wait for FX and Buses going to NOVALICHES.
  • From MRT North Avenue Station, walk along going to to SM North EDSA or TRINOMA (Paramount).
  • Look for a BUS or FX going to NOVALICHES or with signage NOVA BAYA.
  • Tell to the driver to drop you at BARANGAY (the one they called for the Brgy. Hall of Tandang Sora)
  • You will travel along MINDANAO AVENUE, be an observant. If you passed by the ST. JAMES COLLEGE and STARBUCKS ST. CHARBEL along your LEFT Side you are near to their office.
  • Drop at BRGY. TANDANG SORA is located on your RIGHT front of a gray foot bridge.
  • Walks straight along the Barangay Hall and turn on your right. The first block you will see is the ANSAP Office.

Hi Erick, thank you for your comment.
I said it on my post that If you are far from ANSAP Office better renew your card in the institution/centers where you get the updates. Especially if you are from the provinces.
