After Shock! Bohol Experience

"Volunteering can be an exciting, growing, enjoyable experience. It is truly gratifying to serve a cause, practice one's ideals, work with people, solve problems, see benefits, and know one had a hand in them".  --Harriet Naylor

Featured Nurse: Nurse Educator

Nowadays, there a lot of nurses who are unemployed and there are those who recently passed the board examination that adds to this number. Many of them want to be employed in hospitals and clinics, which our colleagues see as the only option to practice their profession.

However, there are a lot of non-hospital based, nursing-related works to venture into. These include being an educator, a medical representative, a BPO agent, a project officer, in the armed forces, in the police force and a whole lot more.

Let me share with you the story of my friend.

Summer Vacation Equals Tuli

Bata-bata Tuli Ka Na Ba?

Another academic year has ended. It's now summer and vacation time - a time to relax from those assignments, quizzes, exams and projects in school.

But, for most young Filipino boys, it is a time wherein they would transition to manhood. But why do these young Filipino boys wanted to have themselves circumcised and what really is circumcision in the first place?

CHS: Isang Pagbabalik-tanaw

Cabucbucan High School Logo

Universal Health Care and the Philippines

“60% of Filipinos who die, die without health professional attendance.”

What a big percentage and its alarming huh!  Would you want to die without seeing any health care professionals? I bet you, your answer is NO.

Now, this is the time for us to learn, study and know the Universal Health Care; the Aquino Health Agenda.

Universal Health Care?.. What is it?.

Imagine a picture of a poor Filipino patient on a government hospital, with financial incapability to buy medicines, to undergo diagnostic procedures or even pay the hospital bills - a major concern of the family is on how to procure medicines and how to pay for their hospital bills. This is clearly a common situation we found in the hospitals or in other health care facilities in our country, isn't it?

Ligtas na Pagtawid, Ating alamin..

Road Safety Forum Poster
 Bawal Tumawid! Nakamamatay!
